This means that patients can avoid unnecessary transfers to other facilities and can be taken care of without delay.
The Orthopaedics and Trauma Emergency Unit responds to emergencies concerning the orthopaedics and traumatology of the musculoskeletal system. It is open daily at the following times:
Monday to Friday: 8.00 a.m. – 8.00 p.m.
Saturday, Sunday and public holidays: 10.00 a.m. – 6.00 p.m.

- Dislocated joints
Soft tissue traumas:
- Insect stings, bites, grazes, burns, injuries/bruises with seromas
- Injuries caused by sharps, lacerated/contused wounds with or without injury to the peripheral/vascular nerves or tendons
